Fall Pep Rally

Our fall season was concluded this last week with an awesome pep rally and powderpuff game. The cheerleaders got to coach and work with the boy "cheerleaders". They helped the boys learn a dance for halftime, come chants and a few simple stunts. The boys dressed up like girls and cheesed it up! The band played and we ended with a fun relay race. The Maroon Team won the powderpuff game and the students loved it! Everyone had a great time and ended the day with an after school dance. Get ready for winter sports and competition season coming up!

Our First Game!!

We had our first game this last week and the girls did a great job! There were some nerves that go along with the first game but overall the girls rocked the game! They did several stunts, lots of chants and worked the crowd with signs and megaphones. It was a wonderful first step for what will be an AWESOME season! Here are some pics of the ladies!

Getting Ready for a new year!

The girls have had a great summer. They went to camp where they won two 1st place trophies, won the banana (spirit award), had 1 UCA All-American and 4 Spirit Express All-American's choosen! They have worked SUPER hard at improving their skills. This week starts our week of mandatory practice as we gear up for fall season and we have a mini-camp on Friday to put it all together and learn our competiton routine. I am so impressed with this teams skill, determination and positive attitudes. I know they will impress everyone this next year and I can't wait to see how high they take this team!

Tryouts for 2009-2010 season!

Tryouts will be different this year b/c we do not want to interfer with Spring Sports. They are only 2 DAYS! it will require athletes to learn fast and really prove they want a spot on this new team.

Friday, April 24th = 3:30-7:30pm, learn material for tryouts
Saturday, April 25th = 8am - noonish, review and tryouts

Cheer Ltd Competition Info

Be at OMS = 10:15am
Leave OMS = 10:30am
Arrive at Erwin HS = 11-11:30am
Ladies eat lunch = Bring a HEALTHY lunch, CHICs do not need to bring a snack
We will do make up and fix any hair issues at the HS
Division starts = 2:40pm
Performance time = 3pm, Arrive by 2:30pm so you do not miss anything!
What to wear to OMS = Maroon T over white crop top, maroon lollies, warm-up and cheer shoes
Hair = Hair in HIGH ponytail-no bang with wide solid white bow
Make up = Have foundation on only and blended in, no eye makeup at all!
